EDISON - Jim McGovern won today s New Jersey PGA Head Pro Championship in a runaway.
McGovern shot 3-under-par 141 at Metuchen Golf Country Club to finish six strokes ahead of defending champion Frank Esposito of Brooklake and Mark Yannotta of Essex Golf.
The Oradell resident and head pro at White Beeches shot 70 in the morning,Louis Vuitton Online, with four birdies and two bogeys, for a two-shot lead. He had four birdies and three bogeys in the afternoon, closing with a birdie on the par-3 18th.
I kept it in play and gave myself a lot of good chances, said McGovern, 48, a former PGA Tour pro in his third season in the NJPGA. I made a few bogeys,Cheap Toms shoes, a couple of three-putts, and that was it.
