A former Passaic County volunteer deputy sheriff has been indicted on charges he sexually assaulted a teenage boy on numerous occasions more than a decade ago.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, a grand jury found probable cause to charge 53-year-old James Perna with single counts of aggravated sexual assault and sexual assault,true religion outlet, and two counts each of aggravated criminal sexual contact, criminal sexual contact and endangering the welfare of a child.
