Louise Cunningham?s home was under construction in 1988 when the late Jim Wilson Jr.?s vision to have a women?s club in the subdivision came to fruition. Eager to meet others in the neighborhood, Cunningham joined the Wynlakes Women?s Club as soon as she moved in.
She is one of hundreds of ladies who have sustained the membership over the last quarter century, gathering at monthly meetings to foster friendship and fellowship in their east Montgomery neighborhood. But it?s more than just a social group; the ladies also have adopted charitable causes across the River Region.
Last Friday night, club president Lynda Turner welcomed Cunningham and many others as they celebrated the organization?s 25th anniversary at the Wynlakes Golf and Country Club. Turner took them on a trip down memory lane that included the organization?s start as a garden club, and its evolution to function as a social club with a large focus on giving back to the community.
Past presidents Jean Kloess,http://www.foceng.com/chanel.html, Bert Owens, Debby McLaughlin, Norma Moore and Anne Parramore were among those at the anniversary dinner dance applauding as Turner acknowledged the generosity of the club?s members,Gucci Bags. They have made donations totaling over $65,000 to the Family Sunshine Center over the last half of the club?s existence.
Though her two-year presidency concludes in a couple of weeks, Turner was jubilant as everyone celebrated the milestone occasion over cocktails and dinner by candlelight,beats by dre. Local entertainer SonnyGrier wandered from table to table serenading with old favorites like ?Misty? and ?At Last,sac longchamp.? He played many more oldies but goodies,chanel bags, prompting guests to jump to the floor to two-step, jitterbug,cheap true religion, and line dance with Linda Williams.
Celebrants continued to sway across the floor until the ?Last Dance? song was played,gucci outlet, and the last slice of a three-tiered Ghiradelli chocolate anniversary cake was served,Coach Outlet.
