The Florida State softball team finished off a three-game sweep of Virginia with a 2-0 victory Monday night,Gucci Outlet, and the Seminoles made it look easy.
Complete-game shutout? Check.
Home run to straight-away center field? Sure thing.
Dynamic defensive play to end the game? No problem.
?Good pitching, good defense ? you throw ?em together, and it was good to get the sweep,? said FSU coach Lonni Alameda, whose team improved to 34-14 overall and a league-leading 13-2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Sophomore pitcher Lacey Waldrop, who leads the ACC with a 1.58 ERA, set the tone with another dominant performance in the circle at JoAnne Graf Field,monster beats. She surrendered just two hits ? a single and an infield single ? and struck out 10 batters,haikee.com.
Waldrop, who actually hails from Chester, Va., improved to 17-7 on the season while recording her 10th complete game and fourth shutout.

Waldrop didn?t need much offensive support, but sophomore shortstop Maddie O?Brien gave her some breathing room with a solo home run in the bottom of the second inning. It was O?Brien?s third home run of the series ? she had one in all three games against Virginia ? but with no wind to speak of, she wasn?t sure this one was out until it sailed over the center-field wall.
?I was like, ?Please ball, go!?? O?Brien said with a smile. ?But it felt good off the bat, so I thought it had a chance.?
FSU also received a boost from senior center fielder Morgan Bullock, who went 2 for 2 and drove in the Seminoles? second run.
And O?Brien capped the night off with a beautiful stop in the hole between shortstop and third base before throwing a strike to first base to record the final out.
?I definitely thought that was going to be a hit,? Waldrop said,beats headphones. ?She got in there and made a great throw. She?s been playing great defense all year,Prada Outlet, so I expect it from her.?
FSU will return to action Wednesday against rival Florida.
