Temecula awarded a total of $57,000 in grants to service groups through this year’s Community Development Block Grant program.
City Council members approved awarding $8,Beats by Monster,152 to organizations that offer aide to children,Hogan, victims of domestic abuse and food assistance. The vote was 3-0,Prada Outlet, with Councilman Chuck Washington absent and Councilwoman Maryann Edwards abstaining because she works for the Boys and Girls Club of Southwest Riverside County,Tory Burch sale, which received a grant.

Three organizations — Assistance League of Temecula Valley, Boys Girls Clubs of Southwest Riverside County and Single Mothers United in Rewarding Fellowship — will use their grant money for programs that benefit children,Gucci Outlet.
The Boys Girls Clubs and Single Mothers United in Rewarding Fellowship will put the grants toward before- and after-school programs and general child care, while the Assistance League of Temecula Valley will use its grant money to further its Operation School Bell. Through the School Bell program, children are provided with backpacks filled with school supplies and other necessities, such as toothbrushes and toothpaste.
The final grant went to Safe Alternatives For Everyone,louis vuitton wallets, which provides outreach, emergency housing, counseling and other services to victims of domestic abuse. SAFE operates a safe house where victims, who are overwhelmingly but not entirely women, are able to bring their children and stay rent free after leaving an abusive environment.
The selected organizations were chosen for the breadth of their programs and because they serve the most vulnerable and disenfranchised groups.
Through the block grant program, Temecula expects to receive another nearly $250,000, which will go toward rehabilitation projects at the Temecula Community Center and Sam Hicks Park.
