我们在用命令行操作linux的时候经常会出现You have new mail in /var/spool/mail/root的提示,很不爽,而且/var/spool/mail/root这个文件越来越大,占用系统资源.有没有办法屏蔽这个提示呢?答案的肯定的.下面介绍一种方法.
需要修改系统配置文件/etc/profile，告诉系统不要去检查邮箱.
[root@localhost ~]#echo "unset MAILCHECK" >> /etc/profile
其实就是把unset MAILCHECK加到文件/etc/profile 的尾部即可
然后重新登陆控制台就没有这个讨厌的提示了。
