普通照明应用光源差异影响能源消耗甚钜
从实际的照明应用观察,其实通用的照明应用影响层面相当广,举凡道路标示、路灯、环境造景灯光、建筑照明、功能性的照明灯具、住宅照明、信号灯、指示灯、零售卖场的灯具,都有不同的应用现况。例如,需要高效能、高亮度的路灯大多采高强度气体放电灯(High-intensitydischarge;HID)、卤素灯达到高亮度、高照度的要求,一般卖场的长时间照明灯具,多半选用萤光灯管(CompactFluorescentLamp;CFL)灯具,而住宅多使用白炽灯、萤光灯(CFL)或省电灯泡,其中以白炽灯的耗能最高,因为运行时大量能源变成无用的热散逸,对于灯具的寿命也会因此显得相较其它灯具更短一些。
从具体应用来看,通用照明市场涵盖的领域非常广泛,包括建筑物照明、标志、景观照明、零售、信号灯、街道照明和住宅照明等。在通用照明市场,目前常用的光源包括白炽灯、紧凑型荧光灯(CFL)、线性荧光灯、高强度气体放电灯(HID)以及新颖的高亮度发光二极管(High-BrightnessLED;HBLED)等。要讨论节能的差异,就要针对现有的灯具定出一套有系统、科学化的评估的方法,至于衡量照明的重要衡量指标即为输入功率比与流明。以效能来衡量,多采行每瓦流明数进行基准作为(能源效率efficacy)评估,例如每瓦流明(lm/W)来比较灯具的差异。
检视不同的照明方案,会发现白炽灯的能源效率对差,以60W白炽灯为例,白炽灯的能源校率相对较低,比较CFL萤光灯的能耗表现即相对弱势许多,因为60W白炽灯的能源效率约为10lm/W,相较CFL萤光灯具的能源效率就可以达到50lm/W。相对的,若今对比的对象是HID来说,若一支100WHID可具有80lm/W,相当于产生8,000流明的亮度。
此外,除了灯具自身的发光效能差异外,灯具本身的发光物理特性也会影响其实际应用的使用效率。例如,CFL、HID和白炽灯都是全向式的照射方式,即不会使用到光亮的灯具背部,此处的照射作用则完全没有效益,因为需要光照的区块可能仅有灯具前方有限的区域,照射在灯具背面的灯光等于是白费,但在灯具设计中也可采取尽可能高反射的光滑或反光表面,将灯光透过折射有效集中于灯具前方,但透过折射仍会有灯具老化或是灰尘造成折射效率降低的问题,使灯光的投射路径产生大量的光能耗损。
LED新兴光源效能与实用性持续提升
以往LED大量用于电子商品为指示性用途的,为一种新兴的光源技术,以白光LED为例,其制作方式透过高效能的蓝光LED镀磷去产生近似白光的效果,目前白光LED在能源效率已有长足的进步,目前研发效能在色温表现4500~6000k下,已能达到超过136lm/W的高效能表现。
LED属于固态的原器件
在于物理的硬度、强度较高,不会有传统光源因为玻璃制品的关系,会有怕摔、不耐撞击的问题,而透过在装填料的参杂萤光粉或是其它素材,亦可制成可产生不同特性光源,最重要的是整体原器件不含汞,加上具超过50,000小时寿命周期,相较寿命仅1,000小时的白炽灯LED相对要长命许多?
LED的特质在于,他可以成为一个电子的零组件、器件,不需要如同气体放电式的灯具、萤光灯具必须要有个玻璃容器内置高压气体的容器,体积相对小许多,也不需要特殊灯具搭配使用,原器件本身就有金属接点,可焊接安装在任意表面上,使用弹性相对较高。
对于一般生活照明应用而言,LED的众多特性更使他具备极佳的应用效果,这些原器件可以达到极小的体积,发光方向可透过封装手段与填料方法,让光源可以集中单点或是单向放射,或朝固定范围投射,控制光向的精确度较传统光源更容易掌握,也不需仰赖灯具与反光部件去达成效果。
