1. P9235A-RWireless Power Transmitter for 3W Applications 

The P9235A-R is a 3W, magnetic induction, wireless power transmitter for low power applications. The system-on-chip operates with an input voltage range of 4.5 C 5.5V while integrating micro-controller, voltage regulation, over-current protection, full bridge power stage drivers and on-chip simultaneous voltage and current demodulation. 

The transmitter includes industry-leading 32bit ARM® Cortex®- M0 processor offering a high level of programmability, while consuming extremely low standby power. The device features two LED outputs with pre-defined user programmable blinking patterns, buzzer and programmable over-current protection supporting wide range of applications. The I2C serial communication allows the user to read back information such as voltage, current, frequency and fault conditions. Together with the P9027LP-R receiver, the P9235A-R is a complete wireless power system solution. 

The P9235A-R is available in a Pb-free, space-saving VFQFN 5 mm X 5 mm, 40 pin package. The product is rated over an operating temperature range of -40 to +85.

2. P9027LP-RWireless Power Receiver for 3W Applications
 
The P9027LP-R is a highly integrated, low Bill-of-Materials (BOM) count, single-chip receiver targeted for 0.5 to 3 W applications. Using the magnetic inductive charging technology, it converts an AC power signal from a resonant tank into a regulated programmable DC output voltage ranging from 4.5 to 6.0 Volts. 

The receiver has a patented internal scheme for communication and modulation using zero external components. As a result, it provides an extremely small application area. Together with the P9235A-R transmitter, the P9027LP-R is a complete wireless power system solution. 

The P9027LP-R is available in a WLCSP-40 package (2.24 mm 3.62 mm, 0.4 mm pitch), and it is rated for 0 to 85 ambient operating temperature range.

IDTs wireless power reference kit targets applications ranging from 0.5 to 3W. The reference kit is comprised of both the transmitter (P9235A-R-EVK) and the receiver (P9027LP-R-EVK) with three different coil size options supporting applications with different form factors and power levels. The high-efficiency, turnkey reference design is supported by comprehensive online, digital resources to significantly ease design-in effort and enable rapid prototyping. 

The receiver design is based on the P9027LP-R, a highly integrated, high efficiency solution suited to a wide range of compact applications requiring up to 600mA load current. The layout has been optimized on a 4-layer PCB, compliant with wearable device layout rules and form factors. The ultra-compact form factor is ideal for rapid product prototyping. The active area of the P9027LP-R-EVK board is 5.7 mm x 5.7 mm and is ideal for small form factor and thermally-constrained applications. 

The transmitter design is based on the P9235A-R and can be powered from a micro-USB or other input voltage from 4.5V to 5.5V. The P9235A-R is based on a flexible 32-bit ARM® Cortex®- M0 processor with integrated full bridge power stage drivers and on-chip simultaneous voltage and current demodulation. It provides a low component count solution on an optimized 2-layer hardware reference layout intended for seamless copy/paste to a customer application board. The active area of the P9235A-R board is 22.7mm x 21.2mm and is ideal for space-constrained, low power transmitter designs.
